- I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
In the sign-in screen, enter your email address in the Username field and hit Enter on your keyboard. Hit Forgot password (to the right of the Sign in button).
You will receive an email from “Allego Support” containing a link to reset your password. Once you click the link, you will need to enter your email address, your new password (twice), and hit Save this password. You can now login with your new password.
NOTE: This reset password email can be used only once, and it expires within 48 hours, so use it immediately.
- Allego says my account has been locked. How do I get back in?
Your system may be configured to automatically lock your account after a number of consecutive login failures or after a certain number of days of inactivity.
If your account has been locked due to too many failed login attempts, Allego automatically sends you an email with a reset link to unlock your account.
In either case, you can hit the Forgot password link on the login page to send a password reset email. If you do not receive this password reset email, check your spam folder.
- What happens if I check the 'Remember me' checkbox when logging in?
When logging into Allego, if you check the “Remember me” checkbox, you will not have to log in and provide your credentials as frequently. By default, if you do not check “Remember me”, your user session will time-out after one hour of inactivity. If you enable “Remember me” on login, the time-out period becomes 14 days. To maximize security, you should leave “Remember me” unchecked.
- How do I configure my browser to grant access permission to Allego to use the camera and microphone?
To record using Allego, you must grant access permissions to Allego for your camera and microphone. Instructions are available below for supported browsers:
- I am having problems using Allego through a browser. What could be wrong?
Here are things to check:
- You are using a supported browser, which includes Chrome or Firefox on Windows, Mac, or Linux; Edge on Windows; or Safari on a Mac. Use the latest version of these browsers to minimize issues.
- You have disabled the browser pop-up blocker for allego.com. Instructions for different browsers are available online here:
- You have a valid internet connection. A poor or intermittent connection may cause error messages saying that the Allego server cannot be reached.
- Why does my mobile device keep prompting me to authenticate to access Allego?
Your company has configured a mobile idle timeout for greater security to help prevent unauthorized access to Allego content. If the Allego app is idle for a pre-configured number of minutes, accessing Allego requires you to re-authenticate using your device authentication process. For example, it may prompt you to enter a PIN, or use fingerprint or facial recognition.
- What is the difference between the mobile and desktop versions of the Allego web site?
The mobile web site layout is similar to the iOS app layout for tablets and smart phones. The primary differences in the mobile version of the web site and the desktop version are:
- All collections are hidden and accessible through the navigation menu on the upper-left corner
- Horizontal scrolling is available for collections on the Home view.
